How It Felt When The CMA Membership Kit Arrived

WOW!  This arrived in the mail yesterday.  How do you describe an event that seems so surreal.  When I left Nashville in December of 1991 I thought that all of the dreams I had dreamed since I was 5 years old were over.  But God works in mysterious ways.  Through events that I would not have chosen on my own, I was brought back to Nashville.  Will the world stop spinning because I became a CMA member? NO!  The things that really matter in life are not affected by this small event.  Most of the world will have no idea that a kid from West Texas accomplished a life long dream.  I choose to believe that it is one of the many small ways that God reaches out to let me know He hears and He cares, even about the little things.  One of my biggest struggles is falling in love with the gifts I have been given, rather than the Giver. I'm grateful too God for the gift of music and for opening doors for me to share it with others.  www.kentmaxson.com

Congratulations! You have come a long way from Lubbock (yea, your on my mind, from mesquite trees to the sewer line) and making a recording in your apartment over Thanksgiving but I remember it like it was yesterday. Good luck on your journey and always trust in God.
