Lyrics

Had enough of the bright lights, the sirens and the traffic
So I put my two weeks in climbed down the corporate ladder
Sold our downtown condo, bought a little piece of land
Traded headaches and high blood pressure for these blisters on my hands

CHORUS:
Now it’s coffee on the front porch
Wind chimes dancing in the breeze
Waving at my neighbors
While they’re waving back at me
Was a big fish in the ocean and a gator in the swamp
Now I’m just a minnow but I sure love my pond

We’re laying on a blanket in the back of a flatbed Ford
Miles from the city on moonlit country road
Stars in the heavens sprinkled across the sky like sand
Got a front row seat to a masterpiece painted by the good Lord’s hand

CHORUS:
Now it’s coffee on the front porch
Wind chimes dancing in the breeze
Waving at my neighbors
While they’re waving back at me
Was a big fish in the ocean and a gator in the swamp
Now I’m just a minnow but I sure love my pond

BRIDGE:
Sun peaks over the water at the break of dawn
We both fell asleep stayed here all night long
